PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL EVALUATIONS

A psycho-educational evaluation typically involves the administration of standardized tests to evaluate intellectual ability and academic achievement.  The purpose of such evaluations is to identify appropriate academic placement and the need for an Individualized Education Plan, a 504 plan, specific academic accommodations, and standardized testing accommodations.

We tailor each evaluation based on the individual needs of the client and the referral question.  The assessment process typically involves a clinical interview to obtain a comprehensive history, review of records, administration, scoring, and interpretation of tests, a comprehensive report that summarizes findings and provides recommendations for academic planning and resources, and a feedback session to explain and discuss results.
